Glen Echo is the smallest town in Maryland.  It is located above the Potomac River and C & O Canal north of Georgetown and west of Bethesda, between MacArthur Blvd and Clara Barton Parkway.  The town houses the home of Clara Barton, the founder of the American Red Cross, and Glen Echo Park, which is currently a venue for dance, art, environmental, and history programs.
